Calmness of the sea shore

The sound of the waves; the feel of the water; the roar of the gushing waters, slashing to the sea shore brings along the hidden treasures of the sea to the shore. To walk along the sea shore with waves swaying to your feet. The gentle breeze that fills the air with an enchanting romance; where you can feel that some magical aroma makes the whole ambiance full of sedate and sereneness especially in the evenings. The wet sand gets washed away again and again try to convey to the sea "however wet the water may be but we may not be all drenched by you and your mighty waves." The sand remains calm yet dyanmic with the waves slashing on to it. Specially when the tide is high, its the time for all the surface of the shore to be washed away, swayed away with the water. Every sand particle of the sea-shore goes into the waves; merging with roar yet remaining calm.

The golden appearance of the shore remains untouched and in evolved though the surface sand particles have been washed away by the sea. The beauty of the nature is tranquil, praiseworthy yet dynamic. The change that comes through the appearance of the new layer of the sand particles is as vivid as that of the earlier one, beauty is imperishable. No matter how mighty are the waves washing the shore away it remains as it was. The take away from this walk of life on a sea-shore is, no matter how much uproar howls you; your innate character has the strength to beautify and make you unique in standing of life.. I just had been evolving these ideas while i was on a trip to Goa some two years back.. here I give some awesome snapshot of the sea-shore, its calmness and the philosophy evolved there by..

Success: Skill or Money?!!

Success-A word everyone wants to taste; though literally you can't taste it with you tongue. Success in this competitive world has been the most challenging and compromised term. The word is a merely of any meaning if you don't have any of these signs like $ or Rs. The word success has been equated to the monetary gain. The word success meant a lot before the opening of world economy and pre-globalisation era. I raise a question about, is it right to equate success with all monetary gain and not with the appreciation of the efforts of achieving it??

Be it anyone in this modern society, no one can deny of the stress related to work, goals, ambitions.. earlier life was a journey now it is an olympic 1500m race..! I often hear my parents, grandparents going back into their childhood memories where they mention, we never had such a stressful life!! They enjoyed in the way where they could make the best out of whatever was with them. Today being my grandma's 83rd birthday I remember one instance where she told me about her childhood, that she was a sharp girl, she was interested in music, beadwork, embriodery and other household craft, though she could not do it professionally in her life but she enjoyed doing it all through out her life and even today at 83 she enjoys every bit of it by doing small things for her friends and for me too.. must say she has an excellent sense of design, colour and patterns.. but alas no one except few close ones know about her art. This implies and makes me to think that skills a person possess can make him successful and no the monetary benefit that the person earns out of it.

The skills that bring out the best of you, the skills that give you sigh of pleasure, the skills that makes you more innovative and a vivid learner is the real success in life. One more excerpt I read of Our contemporary writer Chetan bhagat let me share it with you guys:

"Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.

Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.

One thing about nurturing the spark - don’t take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?

It’s ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, Enjoy with your friends, fall in love, little fights with your loved Ones . We are people, not programmed devices"-- Chetan Bhagat

I see that many of us need to understand that life is not measured with the heights of mountains of success you climb but it is measured in the depth of valleys of hearts you touch!:)

"The best mirror is a friend"

"The best mirror is a friend"

The one who knows you to the core is someone whom you call your friend. No blood ties, but the ties of only love and affection. The supreme bond of all of humanity. A lot has been said about friends, but very few have been lucky enough to understand the most appropriate meaning of a friend. Merry making, having fun, sharing cups of coffee, sharing time which none in the family may be living with you. A friend knows you more than anyone actually can after your very own mother. I here came across this concept of comparing mirror and friend.

Whenever you come across mirror you see the real you, the most ugliest part of you is shown to you in a beautiful way. The beauty of appearance in the mirror is such that even the most imperfect part of you seems to be perfect to you. A friend indeed is in the same way to you. The imperfections which he knows and points out are not to make you feel that you are imperfect but there is a hidden desire in your friend to see you the most perfect human. There has been lot said about being a true or a good friend but I feel that the true meaning of friendship lies not only being together in good and bad times but in nurturing the individual you have befriended.

A true friendship develops on the basis of genuine human affection, not money or power. Of course, due to your power or wealth, more people may approach you with big smiles or gifts. But deep down these are not real friends of yours; these are friends of your wealth or power.
These are the words of his holiness Dalai Lama.

I dedicate this to all my friends on ocassion of the Friendship Day up coming shortly!

Grace of the soul

There has been lot said about the grace of the soul and the disgrace of the soul. I have seen about people with grace at its peak into them but disgraceful ones always carry it on their sleeves.. they leave it wherever they go. The graceful ones or let me say the blessed ones get it done in a very special way which is altruistic and simple while the ones with a broken attitude do it all with fear of being looked down upon. The only thing one can do there is to uplift one's own self to a level where none can touch and malign you. Such a divine power is acquired only by being like a sea, a river, the sky where the limits of horizons themselves limit them.

Amorphity of soul

A soul is considered to be the most ernest strength of an individual. The character of the soul is undefined and everyone around us since the beginning of life have tried to decipher the secret that lies behind the soul. Some call it Almighty, some call it God, atheist have always got their own ways of defending the supernatural powers though, they too do believe in the conscience the inner will and way to express ones self.
The way the scriptures have defined in the religion about the soul, it is almost astonishing. The work we do comes back to us, the cycle of karma goes on.. but the only thing that remains immortal is the path one adapts in doing something good..
